About

A Quabbin Farm Album explores six farms in central and north-central Massachusetts, setting their stories within the longer history of small-scale farming in an ever-expanding market-oriented food system. The book celebrates the inventiveness and persistence of farmers in a part of the state with limited resources of land and money.

Photographic portraits of area farmers by Oliver Scott Snure accompany the stories, along with historic photos covering a century and a half of local agricultural history.

Leigh Youngblood, Executive Director of Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust, wrote the Foreword.

The book will be officially released in June 2017. Check back to this site to learn more about where and how to buy it.
